The Snug Bookshop is warm, inviting and a new favourite of mine. Me and my mum visited recently on my birthday. The owner Rose, made us feel at home and offered the most personalised service, recommending and beautifully wrapping our books.  We were in the bookshop for an hour connecting and laughing together. It’s been so long since I’ve been in a bookshop, that I’d forgotten how nice it is to be greeted by the smell of books as soon as you walk through the door. Stumbled across this gem when passing through Olney on a hen party - lovely selection of books and the owner is fab, with great book recommendations! I went to this bookshop 2 weeks ago, I'm not from the area so it was a spontaneous visit. Im studying English Literature A-level at school and havent read a non-syllabus book for a while... so I went in a bit lost with no ideas of what to read next. The lovely owner helped me pick out 3 books, focusing on my interests and previous reading. This little gem of a bookshop is one of the reasons we love living here. Rose, and the young lad that sometimes works there, have given my children lots of advice on books to read - they’re both so knowledgeable and genuinely love to encourage others to read. We’ve ordered lots of books from here and the service is great - they call or message as soon as the book is in, which is often next day.
